Toyota dealer confirmed the need for a new transmission. So I tried something new. Called Santa Rosa Transmission where Damon clearly explained the process of doing a diagnosis themselves. I was delightfully surprised because I thought I was redundantly spending another $124. I had just spent $125 at Toyota for their diagnosis. Now I have to repeat the same process? Not at all. When Santa Rosa did a diagnosis, they did an incredible detailed diagnosis. Detailed information on the status of just about everything involved with the running of my Toyota Rav 4. The invoice was actually understandable, complete with photographs and what was suggested to be done. Like draining and replacing the burnt and dirty brake fluid. Also time for an oil change. All sounded appropriate so it was a go. Sam kept me posted as the process continued. During this time I was notified that one of the engine mounts had wear and gave the go ahead. My Rav 4 limited is a 2006 with only 34,000 miles on a new engine. With the body and interior in very good shape it was a good decision to give my Rav 4 a little tender loving care. Needless to say I am impressed with the kindness, clarity and professionalism I received from Sam and Damons Santa Rosa Transmission. When my auto needs service or anything else in the future, the first call I'm making is to Santa Rosa Transmission. Being 67 years young, I have never received such service regarding the care of an automobile. I highly suggest you give them a try, you won't be disappointed!
