If you read the other reviews on here, you'll notice a common thread -- Sam is as honest as it gets and they do great work. I recommend Sam hands down to anyone in need of auto work. And how rare is it these days to call or go into the shop and the owner is always there! Sam, thank you for all that you've done for Amy and I and for constantly providing excellent customer service. We've known you a few years now and still, I'm taken back by your sincerity and continued pursuit for excellent customer service, quality workmanship, and value. Don't ever change who you are or how you run your shop. You guys are great. I never have to second guess your professional opinion, the work, or if I'm being charged a fair price.

Great Auto Repair Shop!! Mechanic Frank was the best. He was honest, straight forward, gave reasonable estimates for costs, time, before each repair. I was charged $200 for a check engine light code check at another auto shop and had to wait overnight (Bauer's Auto Repair in Berkeley) when it cost me only $55 at Santa Rosa Transmissions to do the exact same thing in 1.5 hrs. They replaced my transmission at a good price and now it drives really well. I havent met everyone there but Frank was great. The operator lady was not very nice though... but she wasnt the mechanic so I dont give a rats ass. Recommended to all those who want great honest service at a reasonable cost.

Simply put, Santa Rosa Transmission is the most professional yet friendly and honest shop around. Sam and the other technicians are incredibly knowledgeable with almost any type of auto repair, not just transmissions. If you live in Santa Rosa and need repair without at least getting a estimate from SRT, well, that's just nuts :)

We had a transmission problem on our BMW X5 about 200 miles over the warranty. :( We received several quotes and went with SR Transmission. The price was lower than competitors and not only that but he gave us a low and a high price and it ended up being really close to the lower price! It was $2500-$4500 and he could have charged us $4500; we really wouldn't have known otherwise. Honest, honest guy. I highly recommend you check them out.

Ok, this is my 4th trip to Santa Rosa Transmission. Sam and Tawnia are always quick to get me an appointment. My first experience was a new transmission followed by the recommended follow up service. They then replaced a wheel bearing, and now Sam helped me diagnose a strange engine noise along with a quick oil change at a competitive price. Don't just rely on SRT for your transmission work because they do it all. I highly recommend SRT for any auto maintenance. They run an honest and efficient shop.
