We were visiting from San Diego, when my daughter’s Volvo engine blew out. It needed a total replacement. AAA recommended these guys, but I still felt vulnerable, being so far away from home. They were honest, fair, responsive, helpful, and nice to deal with. The workmanship was great and the car runs like new. Thank you to Sam and Tanya !

Wonderful people, extremely helpful and very nice! We stopped by to see if they could figure out what was wrong with our band http:www.thegangofthie vans blinkers and lights neither were working. Non of the regular mechanics we available, so Sam, the ownermanager of the place came out to see if he could help us out. He was able to figure out what the problem was in no time at all, and direct us to the right auto parts store to buy the part. There was no charge for his time, he gave us a friendly handshake and sent us on our way! Definitly recommend this place for all you repairs and we'll be back for sure!

I am so excited to share with you about my experience with Santa Rosa Transmission. Our car broke down in Reno, NV; I called on Easter Sunday and Sam the owner answered the phone (*****). In our panic he reassured us not to worry. He helped with advice on how to get our car home. Thanks for his knowledge of AAA services. We managed to get our car to the shop and first thing Monday morning the crew was on it. Sam kept us informed along the way. Within no time and at a great rate we received our car back with a new transmission. I can not tell you how stress free he made the process. We have also brought I car in for general maintenance and AC service. I will only take my car here. THANKS SRT. Very happy customer

This is the third time I have tried to write a review and have it published on Yelp. Apparently the first 2 Yelp felt were not real. We shall see if this one makes it to their website. I have used Santa Rosa Transmission for several years and they have always treated me fairly. I have had two different vehicles serviced by Santa Rosa Transmission and both are still on the road working great. They might not always tell me what I want to hear but have always given me the truth; which is more important.

Excellent up to date communication by Sam. The estimated time frame was cut in half on our transmission replacement and we had our car back ahead of schedule. My 2nd good experience with Santa Rosa Transmission!

So I had a very long discussion with the owner of Santa Rosa Transmission, Sam. I have to say it went quite well. He was willing to hear my concerns and I listened to reasons he gave regarding the situation. Mistakes do happen and there really isn't any blame on the situation. There was some miscommunication between us all, the front desk, the owner, the mechanic and myself. He was very willing to figure out a way to let me give them a second chance. And being that he is a small business owner in a small community like santa rosa, I am willing to make the attempt, especially after our discussion. I hung up the phone feeling quite good about giving them another chance to prove their worth. I believe that he has what it takes to create a long lasting relationship, which is what i was seeking all along. Sometimes with parts, there are different distributors that might end up costing more than others. So i guess i can't blame him for the price of items and can really only hold him accountable for the quality of the work. I guess it's up to me to explore other options on parts and pricing. I can always choose to not get the work if the quote is too high. I am very thankful that he reached out to me and was open enough to listen to my concerns. I would say this is great customer service which I believe is key to any business. We got off on the wrong foot and hope that I will soon get to see his business' true worth. I would definitely give them another try.
