One of the most difficult things to do in life is to deal with the public in business. Unfortunately people seem to be more inclined to try to get something for nothing now than in years past. It usually comes down to communication and listening. Each of us have our own areas of expertise and depend on others for the areas they are good at, (note I didn't say are excellent at.) I also took my 1988 Ford one ton to SRT and they served me well. They even drove me home,so I could leave the truck there. The repairs were expensive, but we as customers seem to forget that the shop has to pay rent, salaries for all of the employees, utility bills, insurance (their liability insurance bill is probably obscene....)property taxes and on and on. All of this comes out of the work performed. I have difficulty correlating the expenses of most all things now with what I paid 60 years ago. However SRT will take the time to talk to you and explain what the problems are. You then make the decision based on what they explained. I have found that as they do the job, if they find something else is wrong over and above the original survey and estimate, they will call you on the phone and explain and you can tell them to proceed or not. If we as customers do what we can to make their job easier, I have found that they will bend over backwards to do their best. Automobiles are expensive to buy and to repair, but they beat the horse and buggy and we don't have to clean the stalls. I have had three vehicles in to SRT and I am certain that they do not have bad intents towards their customers. They don't want bad reviews because they know that one bad review can cause more damage than the number of staisfied customers who never write a review could make up for. No one wants a bad reputation. Good work leads to success, and they know it and do it. In spite of the bad reviews written here, I shall continue to use SRT because they are the kind of friends I like to have.
